Very happy with my run in the UK Open, venturing into Mid Wales for the opening IPA tour stop of 2015 and being edged out in the final by 8-6. Played at top of my game for large part sof the event and probably just a late night finish cost me in the end.

Back From the National County finals in Selsey. I got the call Tue night to jump in and am really glad i did. The atmosphere in the Merseyside Blackball Squad is better than ANY i have ever seen and i have pretty much seen it all. Considering its only been going two years its astounding that we had 60 people at Selsey. Next year is bound to be a C team getting there too with so much interest. Big well done to all teams on doing so well and how close were we to winning the lot! Well done to Captains also and especially Barry and John for all the work they put in. Am sure there will be pics and videos all over here soon and people will see for themselves what we brought to the 'party'. Think the Trial dates will be announced soon and would urge anyone who is considering it to try and get in as its been an incredible 5 days. Well done all, the pride of Merseyside....Green Armyyyy

I made my debut on MMTV but unfortunately lost to legend of the game Steve Webster who played an amazing match and deserved the win 18-14. Great set up and an enjoyable experience.

If your a fan of Capital radio then listen out for the advert they are running. Exciting times

I was so close to realising a lifelong dream, ending up the wrong side of a very tight high standard final in Warwick in the final of the European Open. I lost Craig Marsh of Swansea by 8 frames to 6. I was delighted with the run I put together taking out tour number one ranked player Gareth Hibbott and tour number 3 ranked player Ronan Mcarthy to name just two. Its a good sign of a major victory being close for me with such a god performance on the biggest of stages.

Ricky Walden is the latest name to sign for the LFC 3 man pool team. Ricky is a life long Liverpool fan and pulling on the Liverpool (pool) shirt will no doubt be a childhood dream come true.
In all seriousness i am absolutely thrilled that Ricky is on board. I have been a massive fan of his for a long time now as he like myself is from North Wales. Ricky has now moved to number 8 in the professional snooker rankings, and so close to making the World Final this year, so getting him to JJs pool hall on the 10th August is a massive result. It also means the Liverpool team is starting to look very strong with just one place remaining, and i am waiting on a very very high profile LFC player to get back to us about if he can also take part.
This means the Everton team is going to have its work cut out, but has John Parrot, the Everton captain made a fatal mistake in allowing me to also recruit the Everton players? Surely Moyes wouldnt let Rodgers pick his team. When i found out that the chuckle brothers were massive Everton fans i got in touch, but sadly they are not available. In all seriousness, EFC have been very helpful and are helping me find two more players to join John and hopefully more exciting announcements will come soon

The 10th August promises to be an eventful day. It will be the first ever Merseyside Derby ON THE POOL TABLE. A pool match which will see a 3 man Liverpool side captained by myself take on a 3 man Everton side captained by World champion snooker player John Parrot. The other two players on each side will hopefully be made up with recognisable faces with work already under way to try and entice some former footballers. The idea is that all in attandance will wear their football shirts and the event will have an incredible atmosphere with banter and rivalry arife. This exciting event is taking place at JJ's Pool Hall, in my opinion the best pool hall on Merseyside. Its a family ran business who are also committed to trying to help the local community. When i approached the owner Paul Massingham his response was'it would be an honour to host this event, just let me know anything yiou need and i will make it happen'. You couldnt ask for a better response to be honest.
The idea of a fundraiser came to us after we had two girls live with us for three years and have kept in contact with Elyssa and Cortney since they returned to their parents. Elyssa along with Anthony and Maddison (siblings who lived with other carers) went to live with Dad Tony. A few months ago unfortunatly he passed away. The three children are now living with their Nan and Grandad who are lovely people who really have their hands full. However, since the children have moved on we still desperatly want to do something to help them in some way or another. So we have thought about how to raise some money that can be used as their Nan and Grandad see fit. Two possible ways this may help could be to help with any home improvements to accomodate the children living with them, and also possibly taking the kids on holiday. Hopefully the event will be that much of a success that we can do it annually and help many worthy causes in the future.
In addition to the main feature pool match will also be a raffle and an auction and i am delighted to say that we have already had donated a signed football by EFC, a signed pair of gloves by the fantastic Snooker referee Michaela Tabb and a snooker cue by Cue Guru and good freind Steve Grice. Loads more to do but we are well on our way now. We plan to get the Liverpool Echo and Radio City involved and if we get the high profile footballers we are hoping for then the event will sell out almost immediatly. Exciting times and nice to have something to get my teeth into that i really beleive in. Putting the event on will have some expense, which JJs have kindly offered to contribute to. However the more we can raise as a start up fund the more we will have left to give to this family. If anyone is interested in sponsoring the event in some way please email me [email protected] . If you would like to make a small donation please send as a GIFT via paypal to [email protected]. Every little helps. Hopefully some exciting more news to come. Thanks

I actually completely forgot i had this page and with some exciting news to share i wanted to add the page, oh well no need as its already here.
A lot has happened since my last post lol. Well in fact massive amounts of change have come about. The IPA tour is now ran by a new committee of which i am one. We as a committee decided the only way for the sport to progress was under the WPA umbrella which guarantees accountability and also offers significantly more prestige than it ever had under the WEPF
On a personal level the last couple of years have been good for me, with a healthy amount of exhibition and coaching work and in 2012 i won 17 tournaments including North west tour, North Wales Tours and the Welsh Elite tour in south Wales. I reached the quarter finals of the Blackball World Championships but ran out of steam against the eventual winner Gavin Phillips, which although a decent outing really felt like a missed opportunity.
